Kreativ Wohnen (D / 2012)

This is quite funny; today I got this german book: 'kreativ wohnen' (by Dorling Kindersley in 2012) which I ordered. Reason that I found this book, was the article in 'Freundin' this month, where I saw this old photograph of one of our first trees.

I knew I saw this picture before, but couldn't remember where and when.
This keeps running in my head…

It appears that this picture got published in 2007 in an australian interior magazine (Inside out). The pic was taken in one of our stores in Sydney.
The original title of this book is: "82 modern style ideas to create at home" (by Murdock books in 2011)

Another nice publication in the german magazine 'Freundin' this month. They found a photograph of one of our first trees with one of the first birdhouse-lamps ever made (!) …
The tree isn't available anymore in exactly this patterns, but we could make a collection papers / colors similar to this. Just send us a mail and we will see what we can do.

musee du papier peint

We are a little bit proud, that we are taking part of the latest exhibition at the musee du papier peint in Rixheim:

"Au Royaume des petits princes - Le papier peint pour chambre d'enfant". ( The Kingdom of the Little Princes - Wallpaper in the child's room )

Today we got the catalog by mail. Very nice. I wish I could go!

A treasure trove of photos

Last week, we were tipped on this article on the wonderful Marion House Book - a very stylish interior blog from Canada. The blog post recounted a story about a damaged Wallpaper Tree, which was repaired with a lot of ingenuity, using a wallpaper birdie and an actual twig from the garden.

Turns out that the creator of this website is a big fan of Inke's designs and her home frequently stars in articles in the Canadian press. See for instance these at House and Home and Houzz. Fantastic to see that the Inke wallpaper decals are featured prominently in them.

Wallpaper tree at Ila Malu (special events design, Italy)

It took a little effort to deliver this wallpaper tree  (Type #2 Mei 075) in time for the grand opening, but we are happy that we managed to make it on such short notice! 

 

These great pictures were taken in the brand new Ila Malu design lab in Brescia, Italy. 

Ila Malu specializes in special events design. Which means they are a sort of an A-Team you can hire to plan your lavish Italian wedding :)

Kids Magazine (Cannes FR)

Congratulations to the Kids Magazine team on their beautiful first issue of the magazine - we are very happy that Inke's designs are featured prominently in it - hat-tip to kidslovedesign.fr as well :)

New Photos!

Over the last weeks, Inke has made some nice new pictures of her latest designs: The Dinosaurs (yes, they are finally coming!) and the special edition Wallpaper Tree, aptly named: Wallpaper Tree #1 special 188

Also shown here, the birdhouse lamp, and wall decal "Deer" in a vintage textile wallpaper.

Decal on the wall is "Brontosaurus" - In the front the "Stegosaurus" decal, which has been transformed into a school-board (a nice DIY-Project!)

It is always great to see how the silver of the wallpaper tree 074 takes on the hue from the ambient light surrounding it, making it blend into the room perfectly!

Wunderschöne Tapetenbaum bei Fantasyroom (Lörrach DE)

We have always been a big fan of the very cool showrooms at Fantasyroom. And these latest pictures we received are no exception to this rule!

The Tree #1 Mei 126 looks amazing on the green wallpaper...

If you are from the neighborhood, Fantasyroom is definitely the place to shop for your little one (and if you are from out of town, there is always their great website!)

AKSL Slovenia

One of my personal favorite wallpaper trees can be found in the interior of the SiSi shop in Ljubljana, Slovenia - turns out that this interior was created in cooperation with the renowned architect firm AKSL.

Today we received these pictures of a project by interior designers Schaal 1:1 - the mission was to create a team-room at a school, where the teachers would be participating in creating their own little get-away. We give them an A+ :)

The wallpaper tree used here is Tree #1 Mei 074 (silver trunk).

Anna's Nursery

Anna sent us this nice picture of her nursery, we specially like the way the trunk of the wallpaper tree has been applied at the bottom - but beware with vacuuming :)

El Osito Azul @ Intergift Madrid (14-18 sept 2011)

El Osito Azul (well known for their beautifully-made children's room furniture) has got a very stylish stand at the 2011 Intergift trade expo in Madrid.

Inke's wallpaper silhouettes look great alongside the clear lines of the El Osito Azul furniture!
