The consequence of working with authentic vintage (and limited available) wallpapers, is that one day, patterns tend to run out.

So it's my sad duty to announce the departure from our collection of the well beloved Pattern 007. This pattern is one of the longest running designs here at Inke and originates from the 'Onszelf'-collection.

The interior was designed by the very creative people from Kids Love Design (FR). It is really amazing to see an Inke Wallpaper Tree in a setting like this: Lots of contemporary Dutch classics - makes us feel proud to be featured in the same picture.

Once again, another great idea from the very creative people from SiSi: Make your own christmas cards with leftover bits of wallpaper.

In the packaging of the wallpaper silhouettes, usually some extra bits of wallpaper are included to support the silhouette during transport. We have seen some creative use of these scraps before, but this particular one fits the season perfectly.

Our dear friends from SiSi (Ljubljana) were asked to collaborate on a photo-shoot for the Slovenian edition of Elle Decoration magazine - and this is the result!

We are extremely happy Inke's designs were selected for this as well.

Shown on the pictures are a Wallpaper tree #1 Juni 126, which has been elevated a bit to fit the high wall of the room. On the opposite wall there are some decals from the Interior-series.

Today, I went to Van Dijk & Ko (Amsterdam) with the family to search for a cabinet for my oldest girl's room - and look what we spotted: A beautiful vintage sideboard, with an Inke Giraffe on it!

(yes, I suck at taking photos)

Seeing the old 001 wallpaper again turned an otherwise gloomy afternoon bright! Unfortunately this pattern has been out of stock for a while at Inke, but if you always wanted a giraffe in this particular pattern, now is the chance! (plus you get a unique vintage cabinet to go along with it).

Apart from being away from the rain for a while when you are spending summer weekends in NL, Van Dijk & Ko is a great place to spot rare vintage finds and authentic retro furniture. Sure worth a visit - also on sunny weekdays!

De Bremer Set bestaat uit losse delen, dus kun je de dieren ook achter elkaar op de muur plakken.

Once again, it was our pleasure to provide some Wallpaper Silhouettes for the Bopita tradeshow last weekend. Their team did a great job styling all 45 rooms, and we are very happy that Inke's wallpaper decals were featured in a lot of these again.

Je wordt daar graag verder geholpen met het uitzoeken en bestellen van jouw favoriete behangsilhouet. Een stalenboek met voorbeelden is aanwezig, dus je kunt vele beschikbare behangpatronen met eigen ogen bewonderen.

I have to polish up my French, but my guess is the article says you should go to Pouic Land if you want to get hold of such a beautiful tree.

Another good example of a very stylish nursery by interior designer Ursula Wesselingh (Room to Bloom - London UK).

What's so great about her work is that you can often find a good mix between vintage and new designs in her interiors. We are very happy that Inke's wallpaper silhouettes fit into this philosophy as well.

I wish this dentistry was located in Leiden. My kids would be begging to have their teeth checked. Way better than bribing them with candy as we have to do now ;)

These amazing pictures were sent to us by interior designer Julia Aulenbacher, (Brooklyn, NY/Frankfurt DE) - who works on both sides of the Atlantic. On this particular project Julia worked together with Dr. med. dent Catharina Steuer to create this stunning interior.

They really went all-out on this. And it's fantastic to see the Inke's wallpaper silhouettes in such a great setting. Just a quick look on the pictures show designs by Vitra, Carl Hansen and Kvadrat fabrics, so we're in good company to say the least.

Thank you very much Julia for sending us these pictures, hopefully we can post some work from you again in the future!

How it's made (And why it's so ... expensive)

Great exhibition starting next week at Dek 22, Rotterdam (organized by Duran/Vanderpoort) on how products from contemporary designers are being made and the reason they end up so expensive in the public's eye.

One of the designers featured there will be Marianne van Ooij, who is currently getting a lot of well deserved attention for her work.

Check out these cool pics on the Irideeën-blog - the wallpaper elephant and giraffe look fantastic in this boys room.

What you cannot see on the computer screen is that the 096 wallpaper used for these silhouettes has a slight golden accent in it, which make this wallpaper really special.
